How many guest tickets can I have?
Each graduate is initially allotted five tickets. More are usually available on request.
Do children need a ticket to attend the graduation ceremony?
Yes, EVERYONE needs a ticket to enter NJPAC, even an infant.
Do graduates need a ticket?
Graduates will receive their ticket when they check in at the law school by 9 am on May 24.
What happens if it rains?
Rain or shine, all graduates, faculty, etc., will parade from the law school to NJPAC as planned. If it’s raining the morning of graduation, we suggest you bring with you a small folding umbrella. In the event of severe inclement weather, check the campus operating status at the bottom of the Rutgers–Newark homepage or call 973-353-1766 for further instructions.
Where do I return my locker key?
To Justine Dilworth in Room 170.
If I lost my locker key, what should I do?
You will need to pay $25.00 to Francina Skipper in Room 192.
Where do I pick up my cap and gown?
You pick up your cap and gown from Justine Dilworth in Room 170.
When is the last day to pick up my cap and gown?
Friday, May 17th, is the last day. No one will be available the morning of graduation to give you your gown.
Do I get to keep my cap and gown?
No. Caps and gowns are rented and must be returned after the ceremony. Representatives from the cap and gown company will have tables set up outside NJPAC to collect the regalia.
How can I order a large diploma?
Each student will receive two diplomas (one large, one small) on stage, unless there are outstanding financial (or other) obligations to the University.
When do I find out if I am receiving an honor or prize?
Information about who will be receiving the various prizes, honors and awards is not announced until the ceremony.
Will there be a professional photographer at graduation?
Yes. Island Photography will take a photo of each graduate receiving his/her diploma and will contact you directly several weeks after the ceremony about your purchase options.
When will I receive my yearbook?
Yearbooks will be mailed to your home address after graduation. They are usually mailed in January. Please make sure that Dean Rothman’s office has an up-to-date address as we will not mail to the Talbott Apartments or University Square housing.
