Rain or shine, all graduates, faculty, etc., will parade from the Law School to NJPAC as planned. If it’s raining the morning of graduation, we suggest you bring a small folding umbrella. In the event of severe inclement weather, check the campus operating status at the bottom of the Rutgers–Newark homepage or call 973-353-1766 for further instructions.

Cap and gowns are available for pick-up at the campus bookstore. Students will receive an email when they are available.

TBD. No one will be available the morning of graduation to give you your gown.

Do I get to keep my cap and gown?

How can I order a large diploma?
Each student will receive two diplomas (one large, one small) on stage, unless there are outstanding financial (or other) obligations to the University.

When do I find out if I am receiving an honor or prize?
Information about who will be receiving the various prizes, honors, and awards is not announced until the ceremony at NJPAC.

Will there be a professional photographer at the Law School graduation?
Yes. Island Photography will take a photo of each graduate receiving his/her diploma and will contact you directly several weeks after the ceremony about your purchase options.

When will I receive my yearbook?
Yearbooks will be mailed to your home address after graduation. They are usually mailed in January. Please make sure that Dean Rothman’s office has an up-to-date address as we will not mail to the Talbott Apartments or University Square housing. If you are not sure where you will be living, it is a good idea to use an address you can be certain of, such as a parent’s.

Whom should I contact with additional questions or concerns?
