Loan Repayment Assistance Program
Rutgers School of Law–Newark established a Loan Repayment Assistance Program (LRAP) for graduates who make a long-term commitment to public interest employment. It is intended to support and increase the number of our graduates serving the public sector and the people and causes traditionally under-represented by the bar.
The LRAP is available for all Rutgers Law School–Newark graduates from the class of 1997 and forward who are employed in law-related public interest positions, and whose income does not exceed maximum levels established by the LRAP Board. The LRAP Board's current policy is to ensure that each applicant who qualifies receives a proportionate share of the LRAP funds available for disbursement. For more information, contact LRAP administrator Nicky Fornoratto.
If you are looking for a job in another geographic area, we can make a request on your behalf to obtain access to the career services office of another law school in that part of the country. Many law schools post information about their respective reciprocity policy on their website. Please check potential schools’ sites when making a decision as to which law school you wish to utilize.
If you are interested in receiving reciprocity from another law school to help in your job search, please contact Wendi Taylor at email@example.com, and include the name and contact information, including email address, of the person to whom the reciprocity request should be sent.
To request additional information about any of the above items, please send an email message that includes your name (also indicate name at time of graduation, if different), year of graduation, degree received, and mailing address, to firstname.lastname@example.org.
