The Alumni Association of Rutgers School of Law–Newark will celebrate the achievements of the Hon. Louis J. Freeh, Justin P. Walder, Joseph A. Hayden, Jr., and Sara Manzano-Diaz at its Annual Alumni Recognition Dinner, to be held on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Nanina’s in the Park, Belleville. Freeh, Walder and Hayden will receive a Distinguished Alumni Award and Manzano-Diaz will be honored with the Fannie Bear Besser Award for Public Service.
Freeh, a former judge of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and former Director of the FBI, is founder and senior managing partner of Freeh Sporkin & Sullivan, LLP. Walder and Hayden are members of the firm at Walder, Hayden & Brogan, P.A. Both Walder and Hayden have received numerous awards for professional excellence and have been recognized in New Jersey Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers in America. Manzano-Diaz, who has spent her career in public service advocating on behalf of working class families, women and girls, is Director of the Women’s Bureau of the U.S. Department of Labor.
