Scholastic Standing

The rules of the School of Law–Newark governing scholastic standing — including statements on academic probation and dismissal — may be found in the Student Handbook, which is revised and published on the Law School webpage the beginning of each academic year. Generally, a student whose cumulative GPA of less than 2.33 is on probation and whose whose GPA is less than 2.0 may be subject to dismissal. All students whose GPA is below a 2.67 are under the jurisdiction of the Committee on Scholastic Standing, and may be guided in their course selection by Dean Rothman. You must have a minimum GPA of 2.33 to graduate.
