POSTPONED: November 2 Investiture Ceremony for Douglas Eakeley as First Holder of Alan V. Lowenstein Chair in Corporate and Business Law

The investiture ceremony of Rutgers School of Law–Newark Professor Douglas S. Eakeley as the first holder of the Alan V. Lowenstein Chair in Corporate and Business Law will take place on Friday, November 2, 2012 at the law school.

What: Colorful ceremonial event at which Rutgers School of Law–Newark Professor Douglas S. Eakeley will be formally invested in the new Alan V. Lowenstein Chair in Corporate and Business Law.
Who: Rutgers President Robert L. Barchi, Rutgers–Newark Interim Chancellor Philip L. Yeagle, Rutgers–Newark Law School Dean John J. Farmer, Jr., Roger Lowenstein (son of donor), and Alan V. Lowenstein Professor of Corporate and Business Law Douglas S. Eakeley
When: 3:30 pm, Friday, November 2, 2012

Background:  The Alan V. Lowenstein Chair in Corporate and Business Law at Rutgers School of Law–Newark was established by the late Alan V. Lowenstein, founder of Lowenstein Sandler PC, one of the leading law firms in New Jersey, and a major figure in the state’s legal and non-profit communities.
