Professor Rose Cuison Villazor will discuss gender, family, and immigration based on her edited Cambridge University Press book Legislating a New America and will discuss her article The Undocumented Closet. She is the visiting Professor of Law, Columbia Law School, and Professor of Law and Martin Luther King, Jr. Hall Research Scholar at the University of California, Davis, School of Law. From drones to body cams and discussing who is considered a journalist, a panel of media law experts will discuss these and other issues at a program titled “What’s new in New Jersey Media Law.” The program is sponsored by The Rutgers Institute for Information Policy & Law, the Center for Cooperative Media at Montclair State University, the New Jersey Press Association, and the New Jersey Chapter for the Society of Professional Journalists. Rutgers Law School is hosting a reunion celebration for Class of 1991, celebrating its 25th year, and for the Class of 1966, celebrating its 50th year. The daylong event will include a tour of the building, a luncheon reception, an address by Dean Ronald K. Chen, an opportunity to hear a CLE lecture, a tour of the former law school building at 15 Washington St., followed by a cocktail reception.
