NJ Supreme Court Justice Jaynee LaVecchia '79 to Swear in Class of 2007 Graduates to the NJ Bar in Dec. 2 Ceremony

November 29, 2007 – 

On Sunday, December 2, the Honorable Jaynee LaVecchia, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of New Jersey and a member of the Rutgers School of Law–Newark Class of 1979, will administer the attorney’s oath to the law school’s most recent graduates who passed the July New Jersey Bar Examination. Dona S. Kahn, of counsel at Anderson Kill & Olick, P.C. and a member of the law school Class of 1957, will also address the newly admitted members of the State Bar. More than 80 graduates from the Class of 2007, their families, and friends and expected to attend.

Begun in 2003, the annual swearing-in ceremony was recognized with a Silver Award by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) for creating a celebratory event that brings together alumnae/i members of the bench and bar with the law school’s newest alums.
