Jennifer Meyer Joins Development Staff
January 25, 2010 –Jennifer Meyer has joined Rutgers School of Law–Newark as Senior Associate Director of Development. She will work closely with Dean John Farmer, Director of Development Judy Katz, and Senior Associate Director of Development Ava Majlesi to increase financial support for student scholarships, faculty research, clinical activities, and new initiatives.
Most recently, Meyer served as vice president in the global structured credit products group at Merrill Lynch in New York, with responsibility for originating, structuring and marketing fixed-income derivative transactions. Prior to that she held positions at Ambac Assurance Corporation and Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom LLP. Meyer began her career as law clerk to the late Hon. David N. Edelstein of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
In addition to her professional experience, Meyer is active in several philanthropic organizations, including the Interfaith Food Pantry of Morris County and Happiness Unlimited, Inc. She has also chaired events for Play for PINK, the grassroots fund raising organization that supports the Breast Cancer Research Foundation through golf, tennis, swimming and other athletic events. She currently serves as both a volunteer instructor and a member of the Board of The First Tee of Raritan Valley.
A graduate of Yale College, Meyer received her J.D. cum laude from Fordham University School of Law where she was a member of the Law Review.
