Kenneth Feinberg, Special Master of 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund, to Deliver January 24 Miller Lecture

Kenneth R. Feinberg, one of the country’s leading experts on mediation and alternative dispute resolution, will deliver the 2012 Paul S. Miller Distinguished Lecture on Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at Rutgers School of Law–Newark. The topic of his lecture, which will begin at 6:30 pm, is “Unconventional Responses to Unique Catastrophes: Tailoring the Law to Meet the Challenges.”

Feinberg has been a Court-Appointed Special Master, mediator and arbitrator in thousands of disputes. As Special Master of the federal September 11th Victim Compensation Fund of 2011, he promulgated the regulations governing the administration of the fund and administered all aspects of the program. He currently serves as Administrator of the Gulf Coast Claims Facility, the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill compensation fund. 

Feinberg received his B.A. cum laude from the University of Massachusetts and his J.D. from New York University School of Law, where he was articles editor of the Law Review. He is the managing partner of Feinberg Rozen, LLP.
